Formerly the Outreach Director with the Father Bob Maguire Foundation, Daryl sharpened his skills in weaving communities together and championing the vulnerable, leaving an indelible mark of compassion. Paris MouzosBoard - General Member
Paris Mouzos
Paris has been living in Bendigo for seven years now with her dog Cripper. She came into contact with BWNS through Eaglehawk Uniting Church in which she has been an Elder now for 2 years. Paris joined the board this year, and is also part of the operational team as the Meals Liaison. Paris is involved in numerous community organisations such as Empowering Eaglehawk and volunterring every week at the Eagle Op Shop.

Andrew WeightmanBoard - Project Coordinator
Andrew Weightman was appointed as Project Coordinator at the November 2024 AGM after a few years of voluntary involvement with BWNS.
Andrew has a background in leadership roles in Community Services Organisations over 25 years involved with youth homelessness and residential care; students at risk of leaving school early; food and material assistance; social enterprises; alcohol and other drugs; children’s contact services and holistic care. More recently he has worked in roles in State Government in community development, strategic planning, Aboriginal engagement, project management in Child Protection and statewide COVID staffing logistics.
He has a BA in Community Social Services (Charles Sturt University), a Graduate Diploma in Health and Welfare Ministries (Whitley College) and an Advanced Diploma of Community Services Management (Bendigo TAFE).

Ashley McKenzieBoard - Secretary
Ashley is current Secretary of the BWNS. She has been involved in the BWNS for several years and has been on the Board since 2023. She is a current law graduate and lives with her husband in Bendigo.

Andrew PlantOperations - Administration
Andrew has lived in Bendigo for about fifteen years and has been involved with BWNS since it began. Andrew became a follower of Jesus in his late teens and through this experience developed a concern for people struggling with hardship and disadvantage. This concern has expressed itself in a variety of ways over the years, each of which has enabled him to grow in understanding and service in this area. Andrew’s involvement with BWNS continues this journey of offering help, hope and hospitality to those in need.

Chris DaltonBoard - Chairperson
Chris Dalton was elected BWNS Chairperson at the November 2024 Annual General Meeting. Chris had no prior involvement with BWNS. Chris has a long history of involvement in community organisations. Since 2022 he has been a Committee member of the McDonald House Trust which provides grants to deaf and hard of hearing students. Previously he has been both a director and Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee for three organisations. Those three organisations were his local Community Bank (Lockmore Financial Services), the Anglican Diocese of Bendigo and the national Christian organisation AFES. Chris has a background in senior and executive roles in organisations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Coliban Water, Goulburn-Murray Water and Airservices Australia. He is a Chartered Secretary and Fellow of CPA Australia, the Governance Institute and FINSIA . He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Nayomi ParsonsBoard - General Member
Nayomi has lived in bendigo for over 20 years and been a volunteer with BWNS since it began in various roles: volunteer, venue coordinator, volunteer coordinator and board member. Nayomi is passionate about making a difference to those in our community who are in need and ensuring there is food and shelter for all. Helping to be and bring Jesus to the people. Nayomi has a background in community services, management and administration and wants to support BWNS to continue to grow and spread in the Bendigo community.

Geoff YoungBoard - Treasurer
Geoff is Treasurer of BWNS, and has been involved in various roles since it began. He also serves on the Board of Life FM 105.1 Bendigo’s Positive Choice; and as Parish Secretary for the Anglican Parish of Kangaroo Flat (St Mary’s). Geoff feels blessed to be able to bring many years of administrative experience to his roles with BWNS. As organist at St Mary’s he likes to share favourite hymns to reflect upon a particular circumstance. In regards to working with those experiencing homelessness through BWNS, Geoff is reminded of Together In Song 650 “Brother, sister let me serve you, let me be as Christ to you”.
